Summary

Summer, 2032. Polly: Taking a big, bold breath, I sink into the water. It's cool, beautifully so, and finally I can escape the heatwave. But as I try to swim for shore, the water tugs on my clothes. I'm being pushed, pulled, guided somewhere... Winter, 1952. Nellie: I couldn't imagine the reservoir. The idea of everything being flooded was beyond strange. Some things were meant to be underwater. But not a whole village... It's Summer, 2032. When a blistering heatwave causes Truthwater Lake to dry up, the ruins of an old village emerge. Can Polly, a troubled girl from the future, learn from a girl in the past?
