Summary
2013 marks the 100th time the world's leading cyclists have raced their way around France to compete in the Tour de France. This book features a map from each of those tours along with a list of the stages, winners and key statistics. No one tour has ever been on exactly the same route and this book gives you all the detail of where each of the 100 races has been. Most of the stages have been held in mainland France, although since the 1960s it has become common to visit nearby countries. Andorra, Belgium, England, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland have all hosted stages or part of a stage. Although the start varies each year the finish has always been in Paris. Since 1975 the finish has been on the Champs-Elysees in Paris; from 1903 to 1967 the race finished at the Parc des Princes stadium in western Paris and from 1968 to 1974 at the Piste Municipale south of the capital
