- Read all about the seas and oceans of the world, from the Atlantic, Pacific and Southern Oceans to the Mediterranean, Sargasso and Black Seas. Fact Cat Geography: Seas and Oceans answers questions such as why is the sea salty? How deep is the ocean? And how many oceans are there? Along with many more. A world map allows children to name and locate the world's seven continents and five oceans. Each spread focusses on a different ocean or sea, looking at where it is, the fish and other sea creatures that live in it, and life on the ocean floor. At the back of each book is a quiz which requires children to go back through the text and find the answers - encouraging them to think about, and engage with, what they have read. The information is presented in manageable chunks, making the book both highly accessible and ideal for project work
