In 2008, a group calling itself the Harvesters, made up of some of the most important financiers and speculators on the planet, put into practice a plan that they had hatched in secret for more than a decade to destroy the world economy and enrich themselves. However, greed led to disaster, and for some of them, to death. Two years later, Jürgen Toepfler, a former member of the feared Stasi, the political police of the former GDR, who is serving a sentence in a Ugandan prison for mercenary activities, is released with a dark objective: to liquidate the surviving harvesters
