Drawing on previously undisclosed photographs and documents from the Harland collection this intimate micro-history uncovers a rich history of how they and the people of Oodnadatta, supported and cared for seriously ill influenza patients within their multiracial community for a two month period. The influenza pandemic of 1918-1920 arrived in the remote rail head township in far northern South Australia in late May 1919
