- Summary
- "No disability will stop his war on crime. Confined to a wheelchair, the result of a would-be assassin's bullet, former Chief of Detectives Robert T. Ironside has become the head of his own special police unit. Fighting crime with intelligence and action, television's most unique detective is aided by a crack team of investigators who contribute professional skill and personal concern in the various cases to which he is assigned. Raymond Burr, fresh from 9 years as TV's most famous lawyer, Perry Mason, shook the typecasting from his previous role and made Ironside an instant hit with audiences, running an incredible 8 years. Hard-hitting storylines dealing with socially important topics are merged with high production values, a superb supporting cast and brilliant score by the legendary Quincy Jones. This 7 disc set includes all 25 Season Seven episodes featuring the 2-part story "Amy Prentiss: AKA The Chief which served as the pilot episode to the spin-off police series Amy Prentiss starring Jessica Walter. Top guest stars include William Shatner, Sharon Gless, Desi Arnaz, William Devane, Paul Burke, Judy Carne, Anne Francis, Jackie Coogan, Kim Hunter, Ross Martin and more"--Container
